"The EU now has 25 members and will continue to expand. The new Constitutional Treaty ensures the new Europe can work effectively, and that Britain keeps control of key national interests like foreign policy, taxation, social security and defence. The Treaty sets out what the EU can do and what it cannot. It strengthens the voice of national parliaments and governments in EU affairs. It is a good treaty for Britain and for the new Europe. We will put it to the British people in a referendum and campaign whole-heartedly for a ‘Yes’ vote to keep Britain a leading nation in Europe."

Labour Manifesto, 2005 General Election

Fuck your treaty. Kiss my arse. NO REFERENDUM, NO MANDATE!

I'm collecting for the European Commission Benelovent Society. Care to contribute?

BTW. I'm watching the Money Masters at the mo. (taking a break from it right this minute -it's over three fucking hours long, for chris'sakes!) Lincoln just been assasinated. Bankers? It's possible, I suppose. Although my credulity took a knock early on when the narrator described the Gracchi brothers as 'two earlier emperors..'

Clearly, he needs to fine tune his ancient history...

I've given and plenty. If you want to buy Mandelson another house, that's your business.

I'm not sure about the bit in the Money Masters you're refering to. There's always the occasional howler in such films such as 'Boadicca the Roman Princess' or such like.
