Ok, they can 'talk the talk' but can they 'walk the walk' ???

Yeah but they look tough though, don't they? Can they wear any more equipment? :)

I don't know what walking the walk would be, but dressed like this, with their identities hidden by face masks, they will probably act like occupying troops.

Spartan, probably not, but they could add a deathhead badge, or perhaps a swastika...

Except the SS did not cover their faces nor did they dress like Robocops.

l've had run-ins with the UKBA when returning to UK and they too dress like Robocops. Their flak jackets cover their ID and they are very reluctant to identify themselves. My official complaints resulted in an apology for the covering of ID's ... and that was all!

ln the Hoverspeed v HMRC case the HMRC admitted that their officers dressed to intimidate. Did any of the MSM report this? ... no, of course they didn't!

Now we have the SAS training police to be soldiers ... well trying to anyway. They intend to give the police more powerful weapons. More powerful than what? ... they already have automatic guns and sniper rifles so are they to recieve .50 cals? 20mm cannon? 30 mm cannon? lt beggars belief.

The excuse is the bogeyman terrorist who threatens a Mumbai type attack ... well not the bogeyman that said it but the security services. Given the poor record of the armed police do we really expect them to protect us? They'd probably kill more citizens than the terrorists!

Meanwhile we have 1200 battle hardened troops at the Palace :)

I notice that the uniforms these guys are dressed in are almost indistinguishable from the uniforms cops across the world are dressing in. The new style is all-black (for intimidation, as you note), faces covered, no numbers, and distinctly paramilitary.
