Herman's hyperbole: let's hope he's right

The unelected, unaccountable nobody who goes by the title 'President of the European Council' is warning that the debt crisis could bring down the whole rotten edifice.

Let's hope his worst fears come true. Let's hope he's not just crying wolf. Let's hope there is indeed a wolf and it comes out of the forest and tears Herman to pieces - metaphorically speaking, of course.

I fully concur with your sentiments, TT; I would like to see the entire EU ship sink without trace (as soon as possible), but I don't want to see ordinary people suffer impoverishment in the process. Unfortunately the reality is that if one sinks, all go down with it (except the elite, who seem to survive the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune).

If it comes to that we are talking a soup kitchen recession here.
Plus all the political instability that comes along for the ride.

Bring it on - the best of times, the worst of times. We deserve to suffer, for letting these control freaks take over and try to manage our lives. We should be ashamed of ourselves; lazy, complacent, decadent, turned into perpetual children.
