"I am by birth a free Commoner of England, and am thereby intailed or intituled unto an equall priviledge with your selfe, or the greatest men in England, unto the freedome and liberty of the Lawes of England." William Thompson, 14. of December, 1647

Right there with you! I LOVE this song.
I also love Sunday Morning
Found it....

Introduced by a woman standing in front of a giant banana.
I'm afraid I need at least a ray of sunshine slanting through my curtains to enjoy that second song, but maybe I'll try it.
Firesides, warm duvets and red wine work as well as sunshine at this time of year - says she from under a blanket, still not properly dressed, birds nest hair and a glass of wine. No fireside though. Or company come to think of it.
I've depressed myself now.
Off to find a black and white film. And live my life variously through an actress in an age I would have preferred.
An earlier age, before subtlety was slain by brute debasement, calling itself realism, justifying itself as honesty. We had such things, but were respected enough to be expected to read between the lines.
Quite. Beautiful comment btw, may borrow it
I meant vicariously btw. Typo.
borrow it, take it, improve upon it, drop it into conversations with beautiful, unattached females - only in this instance I insist you acknowledge the source!
