Sauce for the gander: part 3

I've always loved card games. I associate them with happy memories from my childhood of family gatherings. I think they are a good means to teach children good manners, not to say maths. They also give an opportunity for them to compete on an equal footing with the grown-ups. I have, over the years, accumulated a modest collection of playing cards from around the globe, but Dick Puddlecote draws my attention to one I will not be attempting to acquire - a crude propaganda tool from the anti-smoking puritans.

Well, two can play at that game. Not that I wish to encourage anyone to smoke. Indeed, I believe the hysterical nature of the anti-smokers is probably counter-productive, by mixing legitimate health issues with authoritarianism and lies.

Excellent stuff. If we sort out 54 pics we could get these made for real. Cigars, fags, pipes and ... what do we call the cannabis suit? Spliffs? Dopes? ;)

Other possibles, Reagan, Schwarzenegger, Lady Gaga ... there are loads to choose from.

I labeled that card as the ace of spliffs, so that's my answer.

54 cards - we're spoilt for choice. Do you know where they could be made up?

Nope, but I will find out. ;)

I'll put the money in and we'll sell 'em at cost. My gamble but depending on the minimum order, I reckon they'd all find a home.

I made a pack of cards for a work promotion a few years. Ill dig out the company that made the,. They were quality too. James Bond.

PLEASE put Don Draper in there - or anyone from Mad Men. I only adore that series because they smoke like...troopers

Cheers Alison. You educate me, as I didn't know who Don Draper was, but I have checked him out - I'm good on some subjects, not on others!

Churchill for the Ace of Cigars! His head in the middle like a smiley.

I like the idea, AP. The pack would not be complete without the man.
