Doctors: 23 times more likely to lie, cheat, steal and murder

Back in the good old days, doctors were known to be a bunch of dipsomaniac, junkified, will-forging misanthropes. They still are, but sadly this knowledge has become obscured by a strange veneer of societal respect.

But not from me. As for banning smoking in cars, FUCK OFF.

Doctors, stick to what you're good at (murdering old people and spreading MRSA), and keep your puritanical opinions to yourselves.

Cold sweat

Fugitive from justice Tony Blair appearing at the Chilcot Committee, unrepentant though his words remain, sounds ever more shrill in his protestations of self-justification.

He may yet escape the legal consequences of his terrible crimes, but there's a price he must pay, and seeing him today, I reckon he knows it.

Unfinished business

I can only read Robert Fisk's summary of the Wikileaks release of documents with sorrow, horror and shame. I am convinced that the leaders of the last government, Blair and his coterie, must be brought to justice for their part in that damnable war. It is time we held to account these criminals who so abused their positions of authority in bringing about this wholly unnecessary war.

9/11: nine years of lies and never-ending war

It is my sober duty to point out to readers that I am one of those evil, crazy 9/11 truthers, who believes that something very different from the official story took place on this day nine years ago. I take no great pleasure in doing so. It's not an opinion I sought out, but rather one that forced itself upon me, when I realised some years ago, that I didn't want to think about it too much, that I was afraid to know the truth. This was intolerable to myself, as someone who believes that one's opinions should fit the known facts, and not the other way around. Resolving to look at the evidence with as objective a mind as I could manage, I was quickly convinced that the official version of events had more holes than a Swiss cheese.

Oh no, I must be one of those conspiracy theorists I've heard all about, spreading the mad bad contagion of counter-factual unreason. You see, it's my flawed psychology that makes me take an interest in such things as forensic evidence and the laws of physics, the string of coincidences, the many historical precedents for false flag atrocities and the criminal element deeply embedded in the American power structure, that smuggles the drugs and kills presidents.

So, I will not be spending the day burning korans or calling for Mecca to be nuked. We should remember the victims of that terrible day, and the first-responders who have suffered so much since, forgotten and spurned by the politicians who rightly lauded them as heros, now left with debilitating lung disease and no help to pay their medical bills. It does not lessen the monstrousness of the crime to question who did it.

War criminal Blair told so

From AFP:

"Peter Brierley, whose 28-year-old son Shaun died in March 2003, refused to shake Blair's hand when he offered it, telling the ex premier: "I'm not shaking your hand, you've got blood on it."

Blair was ushered away, but afterwards Brierley said: "I understand soldiers go to war and die but they have to go to war for a good reason and be properly equipped to fight.

"I believe Tony Blair is a war criminal. I can't bear to be in the same room as him. I can't believe he's been allowed to come to this reception," he added after the reception at the Guildhall in central London."

This should be everyone's reaction to that devil.

Incidently, the photo that accompanies the story yet again tries to represent Blair as some kind of holy man. He is not a holy man. He's a murdering piece of trash.

The memo that reveals Bush and Blair's blood lust

As reported in the Guardian:

'A confidential record of a meeting between President Bush and Tony Blair before the invasion of Iraq, outlining their intention to go to war without a second United Nations resolution, will be an explosive issue for the official inquiry into the UK's role in toppling Saddam Hussein.

The memo, written on 31 January 2003, almost two months before the invasion and seen by the Observer, confirms that as the two men became increasingly aware UN inspectors would fail to find weapons of mass destruction (WMD) they had to contemplate alternative scenarios that might trigger a second resolution legitimising military action.

Bush told Blair the US had drawn up a provocative plan "to fly U2 reconnaissance aircraft painted in UN colours over Iraq with fighter cover". Bush said that if Saddam fired at the planes this would put the Iraqi leader in breach of UN resolutions.'

Blair: bent as a three-bob note

According to the Mail:

"Tony Blair was accused of 'shameful' abuse of the expenses system last night after it was revealed that he claimed nearly £7,000 of taxpayers' money to repair the roof on his second home just two days before he left Downing Street. The former Prime Minister appeared guilty of an opportunistic milking of the system after his raid on the public purse was revealed by the full release of MPs' receipts."

Personally, I see this as small potatoes. The fact that he lied us into a war that killed a million people is what bothers me.
