If only!

Nick Clegg is playing to the muesli-knitting gallery:
"Nick Clegg's Liberal Democrats have vowed to face down "ruthless" and "extreme" forces in the Tory party to protect the British people from right-wing policies that would widen inequality and benefit the rich."
The only ruthlessness I see in the Tories is the by-product of the cynicism passively pervading all the major parties.

Dead man walking. EU commission beckons. Assuming of course the Greeks and Germans don't collapse the damn thing first.

I see what you mean, but the future is murky. Who knows (not I) how the deckchairs will get shuffled?

The main parties are pretty unseaworthy. It's just that no other group has managed to assemble a force that can break through into their domain.

The way the Romans used to win and win well was to choose the battlefield.
Well to my mind the only way to defeat the dead men and women in Westminster and Brussels is to make them irrelevant, ignore them in whatever way feels slightly uncomfortable or just plain wrong.

Start small with the TV licence goons (private company anyway so they don't have a leg to stand on but it does give you confidence when you realise just how impotent they really are) Always ask questions whenever you get the chance and always say know when they ask you to do something.

Their battlefield of choice is inside your head playing to your fears. Our battlefield of choice is show anyone paying attention just how irrelevant the state really is.
