Keiser on form, critiques the UK government's interventionist delusions.
If, like me, you like Max and hate Monsanto, here's a report from back in January 2011.
"I am by birth a free Commoner of England, and am thereby intailed or intituled unto an equall priviledge with your selfe, or the greatest men in England, unto the freedome and liberty of the Lawes of England." William Thompson, 14. of December, 1647

Yup.
What I have been complaining about for years is explicit and implicit subsidies to land 'owners', Cameron's bail out idea for home builders (i.e. land bankers) and banks is an explicit subsidy just makes it worse.
While my proposal to end the explicit subsidies has some support in some quarters, my proposal to end the implicit subsidies by taxing them and untaxing incomes and output has gone down like a cup of cold sick in most quarters.
I did think of you Mark, during the discussion.
Two years ago they were moaning about reckless lending, now they are engaging in reckless lending, the very thing they thought was the source of the problem.
It is truly beyond satire.
