I was recently reminded of a forgotten pain in my heart. For Withnail's Uncle Monty it was that he would never play the Dane, for me it was the realisation that I would never possess Hope Sandoval, singer from Mazzy Star (sigh). Never mind, there's still the music. Here's one tune - Roseblood.

I can relate to your pining, believe me. For me, it was the actress Emma Thompson. When I first saw the film The English Patient in 1996 I think it was, I was stunned by what I considered to be her beauty, poise and intelligence. I have watched the movie several times over the years, and it is still my favorite.
For me, since I first saw the Canadian TV show
'French Food At Home' it's been Laura Calder.
Charming, beautiful and apparently normal. A good cook too.
Well, I guess I'll see you guys in the Foreign Legion.
