Victory in Manchester as people vote down road tolls

Despite central government's strong-arm tactics, the people of Manchester have thrown out plans to implement road tolls by an overwhelming majority. Even though many of the worst-effected by the scheme were denied a say in the referendum, 79% of those that could voted against, a paltry 21% falling for the Yes Campaign's pisspoor propaganda. No doubt the politicians who have spent so much taxpayers' money trying to force through the measures will be seething. That's democracy, pal.
