Moving on from Marr

I was going to put together a collection of all the best abuse that has been heaped on Andrex Marr for the temerity of his remarks about bloggers, but I think enough is enough...

Andrew Marr: the Andrex puppy of political journalism

Instead of that, I'll flag up this lecture by Joseph T. Salerno, amongst a great many others to be found at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. With resources such as this, why would I waste my time listening to the BBC? Anyway, moving on, here's a tune by the Stones...

... and a quote from Hunter S. Thompson from 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas':

"Journalism is not a profession or a trade. It is a cheap catch-all for fuck-offs and misfits — a false doorway to the backside of life, a filthy piss-ridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wino to curl up from the sidewalk and masturbate like a chimp in a zoo-cage."
