Jon Stewart on Mark Halperin

Content from Jon Stewart's show seems to get blocked on the internet over here, so I'll pass on this little clip which is worth watching, about that 'serious' journalist calling Bazza a dick.

BTW I came to it via this news from the Business Insider regarding Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the apparently collapsing case against him.

Perhaps I'm late to the party but I am getting so tired of stories being made from nothing.

Real stories = fraudulent government dealings, illegal wars, removal of citizens' rights and liberties

Non-stories = someone calling someone a name, someone saying something that could be interpreted by a reactionary idiot as outrageous even though it's obvious what the purpose of said statement was.

It's sad because I think the internet is largely to blame. Because it's often used for exposing REAL stories, people who can't read or weren't hugged enough as children try to get involved with these campaigns so try to start some of their own without leaving their bedsits. And they always go for easy targets and with enough idiots in the world it gains attention and drowns up the few sane voices.

Case in point - the Weiner story got decent coverage in the UK I'm convinced purely because of his name. Those news minutes could have been spent in a more productive fashion.

Aaarrrrrggggh!

Okay... I just thought the clip was funny.

Watch the interview with Saif-al-Islam below if you prefer more seriosity.

Whoops! I think I went a little off-topic. I like the clip. I was commenting more on the story behind the clip.

I'll let myself out.....

I'm suitably chastised. I will endeavour to concentrate more on the unfolding world war, police state nuclear contamination, New World Order extermination plan etc.

You know I agree on the general point. As I've said before, whenever the whole of the establishment media is focused on a stoopid story, look round to see what they're not covering.
